Gary Dobson died October 22, 2005 after a 10 month battle with cancer. Gary lived in Palm Coast. He was married to Sandy and had three children, Melissa, Christopher, and Rhianon.
He had worked as a dispatcher for the Bunnel Police Department and was a truck driver when he found out about the Cancer.
He decided quality was more important than quantity when they told him the Chemo and Radiation would not increase his time. He was a strong supporter of Hospice after our stepfather died last year of cancer and appeared at the Hospice Golf Tournament in Palm Coast. They have since named the Tournament after him and it will be an annual event.
Mike Dekle, Ray Godbee, Herman Hansen and Keith Dobson were fortunate enough to spend some time with him before he passed talking about the old days, and his relationship with Jesus Christ.
He was awarded Full Military Honors as befitting his time in service.
